You may need information from several pages on a site for research, content aggregation, competitive analysis or backups. Doing it by hand means copy-pasting, keeping formatting intact and organizing files. It is slow and error-prone. If you need to do it regularly, it becomes a bottleneck.

Automated scraping with clean output

I designed the Essential Multipage Website Scraper with Jina.ai to automate the process, from finding pages to storing their content in a structured way. It works like this:

  • The workflow processes sitemaps. Give it the site's sitemap XML, and it extracts the individual page URLs for you.
  • The workflow scrapes with Jina.ai, which fetches a page's main content. Basic use needs no API key, only a prefix on the URL.
  • Jina.ai converts each page to clean Markdown, not messy HTML. Markdown suits readability, portability, further processing and pasting into knowledge bases.

  • Set the target sitemap, filter for specific topics or pages, and limit the batch size. The default batch is 20 pages.
  • A Wait node adds a delay between requests, which helps avoid overloading the target site. Use the workflow responsibly and respect each site's terms of service.
